Dogsled Dreams!!

Snow, ice, and racing! What more could a middle grade child want during this wintery season?

I've featured this Alley-worthy author on the Graffiti Wall before, as I have many others. I'm into promoting writers. I read and review YA & MG books. Of course, that's what I write as well. I interview and host guest posts for authors, even some of you. (Hi!)

So when Terry asked if I'd host her official promotion for her MG novel DOGSLED DREAMS, there was no refusing. Only problem: I could not for the life of me upload it into this post. So what I've done is a tad different, but I think it works. I've used pieces of her promo below. Enjoy! And she has a SURPRISE! so read on...

Twelve-year-old Rebecca dreams of becoming a famous dog sled racer. She's an inventive but self-doubting musher who tackles blinding blizzards, wild animal attacks, puppy training, and flying poo missiles. All of her challenges though, seem easier than living up to the dogs' trust in her abilities.

And how cool is this. She even has a Teacher's Guide for DOGSLED DREAMS. Here's what Diane Johnson, Iditarod's Education Director, had to say - "Any teacher using Gary Paulsen's Woodsong would want Terry Johnson's Dogsled Dreams as a part of their classroom library."

Take a gander over to her website where she has her First Chapter up and running.
Do you have her book yet? No. Well, here's where you can purchase it: Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Book Depository.

BUT WAIT!! THERE'S MORE. THE SURPRISE....

You have a chance to win yourself a copy!! Your very own copy. Terry has been gracious enough to offer up a copy! All you have to do is leave me a comment below!! Don't forget to leave your email addy so I can get in touch with you when you win!!

WINNER to be announced on Jan. 24th.

GOOD LUCK!!

  1. I'm not going to enter the contest because I just won a copy on Edited to an Inch of Your Life yesterday. I'm so excited. It made my day great.

I can't wait to read this book because it's going to take me to a world I'll never experience in real life. I really encourage everyone to follow her blog. She shares her amazing adventures in the Canadian wilderness. I'd never experience like it without reading what she shares. I'm so excited for Terry's debut. And thanks Sherri for being a part of it.

  2. LOL. I live an hour from the Canadian wilderness, and right now I HATE snow, so this is not the book for me (at least not right now). But I think dog sledding is cool, and have always wanted to try it.

Love, Sheri, how you're promoting the non-hype YA and MG books. :D

  4. Oh, what a wonderful sounding story! I love anything with fuzzy animals. So long as they don't die. That makes me sad. :-(
