Ostentatious!

When I was a little girl, I adored older films. Most of those stories were created with flamboyant and extravagant world building. One that comes to mind is Gone With the Wind. Another was The King and I.

Something magnetic happened to me when I became engrossed in those settings--thus, my word for the day: OSTENTATIOUS.

I remember when I began writing about five years ago, ostentatious was one of those words I'd read before but never really examined. It was one of those words that intrigued me and made me wonder what other words were out there that I would find moving.

Staying true to my A to Z Challenge theme of "What I learned from Pinterest", I'm highlighting anything I found on Pinterest that I feel has that over-the-top feel to it.

Yes. Those are real diamonds on that pink set of lips. WOW! So, what have you seen, tried, or heard of that you'd categorize as OSTENTATIOUS?

  1. I have a friend who is the epitome of ostentatious. So much so that unfortunately I've lost interest in spending more time with her.

I must be getting old cuz things are my losing interest. Lol

    Great word!

  2. Great choices. That's a word to consider but not something you want to be.

  3. Oooh. I want lip gloss like that. Now that would leave interesting lip prints on a guy's cheek. :D

  7. Great pictures! Love the lips - although I can't imagine what it would cost to have real diamonds on your lips. :D
