The Offering by Kimberly Derting
True love—and world war—is at stake in the conclusion to The Pledge trilogy, a dark and romantic blend of dystopia and fantasy.
Charlie, otherwise known as Queen Charlaina of Ludania, has become comfortable as a leader and a ruler. She’s done admirable work to restore Ludania’s broken communications systems with other Queendoms, and she’s mastered the art of ignoring Sabara, the evil former queen whose Essence is alive within Charlie. Or so she thinks.
When the negotiation of a peace agreement with the Queendom of Astonia goes awry, Charlie receives a brutal message that threatens Ludania, and it seems her only option is to sacrifice herself in exchange for Ludanian freedom.
But things aren’t always as they seem. Charlie is walking into a trap—one set by Sabara, who is determined to reclaim the Queendoms at any cost.

Awesome book to spotlight. I really liked the first book in the series. I need to catch up on the second and third book.
ReplyDeleteStunning covers. They have me hooked already!
ReplyDeleteThat cover is amazing and the story sounds great! I'm going to have to add this series to my list. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHow have I NOT stumbled across this series yet? Okay, TBR list, and some serious book lust happening here. I'm trying to remind myself that my time-stopper was broken to prevent premature aging, but it feels like an evil plot to keep me from reading as much as I'd like. ;)
ReplyDeleteAmazing covers indeed, sure makes one look
ReplyDeleteUgh, Sabara is a horrible person- I'd forgotten how much I hated her from the first book! {Let's just say worst mom ever!} I hope Charlie gets rid of her for good. Guess I'll need to read it to find out. :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of these books, but OMG, I LOVE that cover!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Crystal... TBR list right away. Also, thanks for stopping by my site the other day and for following. I really appreciate the encouraging comments you've said about The Labyrinth Wall. Hope you have an awesome weekend. =-)
ReplyDeleteThis looks like an awesome book. I have one or two of Derting's books in my TBR pile, but I haven't read them yet. I've heard great things about her writing.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read anything by her yet, either. Dang - need more time!
DeleteThanks for dropping by.
I have some of Kimberly's books on my TBR, but just haven't had the time to read them. I am soooo bad. *blush*
ReplyDeleteWishing Kimberly much success with her new book! :)
