Today, my first official post of this most awesome, post-Mayan calendar year of 2013--which I'm dubbing "Year 1 of magnificent Sheriisms"--I'm celebrating the New Year with a new creed.
I'd LUV and be honored if you'd take it with me. You can even post the creed on your site, as a reminder of our promises to ourselves and each other. I've supplied a smaller size below for you to do so.
If you choose to honor this creed with me, please add your name to the Linky list. Cut and paste either size badge to your site and link back to this post. It'd be great if we could get a ton of writers to take this and reconnect throughout the year.
What a great creed! I always have my personal writing goals, but I try not to make self promises b/c those are usually made out of desperation. I'm very reasonable when I set goals, so I can meet them. Then when I go beyond - that's just a bonusd!
ReplyDeleteGreat creed Sheri. I'm going to keep it in mind as I go through this year. Hoping we all meet our goals this year.
ReplyDeleteYes! all definitely goals I'd like to keep in mind. Count me in!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Count me in.
ReplyDeleteYAY!! Glad to have you, Laura.
DeleteYay! I'm putting my post up on Thursday! I love being a Rebel with ya!
ReplyDeleteSo excited, LM! And yup, there's nothing like being a rebel!!
DeleteI love that!!! Absolutely perfect :)
ReplyDeleteYAY! Katie!!! Glad to have you.
ReplyDeleteLaura - being reasonable about setting goals is so important. I feel you...
Natalie - best of luck!!
I love this! Too bad I didn't see it when I posted this morning. I'll add this to my post when I link to a poem I'll have posted on another blog on 01/16. I'm definitely in!
ReplyDeleteAs for your Facebook comment, I can't comment from work, but if you read the thread, the link to my motivating group is there. It's called Write On to Build On. We check in with our writing totals each day and provide encouragement. Then every three months, we check in with the total # of days we didn't write and donate to the Build On charity. See the "About" group page for details. Hope you join!
It's important to set goals and make promises to ourselves. If I didn't have goals what would I aim for?
ReplyDeleteAwesome. Added on my sidebar for the moment, but I'll have to blog about this one before the end of the month. LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea and good slogans to live and write by. I'm in too. I will post the logo and blog about it asap!

DeleteYour creed is so spot-on! I try hard to remember these things, but everyone gets sidetracked. It's nice to know others have the same issues!
ReplyDeleteA fantastic creed not just for authors but also for those trying to live each day a little stronger than the last. Happy New Year all!
ReplyDeleteVery true!! Happy New Year to you, too!!!

ReplyDeleteAwesome idea. Signed up in support, although I can say the balance social media bit has me nervous. I want to expand my blog presence this year. :-D
ReplyDeleteBut I WILL find a way to do both.

DeleteGreat creed. Count me in. Heading over to post badge and will link it back to this post. Thanks for the motivation and doable goals.

PS;
It's really confusing to note that when I join any blog these days with my id my wife Ann's blog id avtaar is appearing at the followers list, I am really confused, how can i come out of this problem? Her id is logged out and i am using my id, but still her gmail avataar picture is appearing, i am not a computer wizard, is anybody there to help me out from this confusion? at present I am using Google Chrome.
Have a wonderful Year ahead to all.
Best
Phil & Ann
