Absence Makes The HEART Grow Fonder

PARTICIPANT LINKS

We write.

Woot! Woot!

Why?

Some of use began doodling our ideas with crayons way back when; others of us dredged up more current thoughts from a dream or an idea. Regardless, we all press pen to paper or fingertips to keys. We all know critique partners are a writer's link to sanity. But what else?

Our social writing community.

The amazing trio of Andrew Leon, Alex J. Cavanaugh, and Matthew MacNish have devised a blogfest that reaches out to those bloggers we've come to miss and/or those we just couldn't live without.

My MIAs

Jessica Bell of The alliterative Allomorph. Technically, I still chat with her. Probably once a week or so. But our paths have taken us to different writing destinations. I write children's lit and she writes for adults. She also has published some fab books on the craft of writing, too. Mmwwaahhhh!!! Jess

Candace of The Misadventures of Candyland. C was the first, numero-uno blogging buddy I ever had. I'm sure those who know her would agree: she's like DA'BEST! Once again, our lives just took alternative twists, facing us in opposite directions. I'm sure we'll curve back toward each other again in the future.

My WOULD-MISS-U-SO-HORRIBLY- IF-U-WEREN'T-HEREs

There are too many of you to type out, and I promised myself that I would keep this short and sweet. So here's a gift for you all.
Something SWEET for your weekend!!!

Group ((CYBER-HUG)) Aw....

  1. Happy birthday CJ, and wow, I love your new banner. Very nice. There are so many blogging friends I've had who just disappeared. I think I'd have a list twenty to fifty people long if I tried to construct one, but here's to those of us who are still plugging along!

  6. Happy bday to CJ! It's a different blogging world nowadays. I think we lost many of our buddies to the indie world cuz blogging just takes too much time. But I plan to do it til it's just not possible anymore. Glad you're still here too!!

  8. Aw Sheri! You are SOOOOO sweet! I miss you too. And I think about you all the time. It's funny how different our paths are now than four years ago when we connected! There's just not enough time in the day, either ... *sigh* Thank you for this. You've made my day!

    1. Aw...so sweet of you to say! Same here. I've been MIA on and off most of the fall season, finishing up an MG novel for my agent. Almost finished.... Thank you so much for stopping by!

  11. I see Jessica on Facebook. And I remember Candace. One more blogger whose path has taken a different course than mine.

  12. I know those bloggers. My children all played soccer. I don't miss the cold games in November though we had to go through the football years too and those were colder and longer.

    1. Yes. And, although it's all good, we still miss them.

      Thank you for stopping by!

  15. Is that chocolate, I would seriously miss chocolate if it were to suddenly disappear.

  16. I miss Candace too. There are many bloggers who don't blog at all or much, like Shannon O"Donnell, since I started blogging. Many of the people who regularly follow our blog has changed over the last year. I love all my new friends but it's sad to see all the people who have left. I still think blogging is very important and if there weren't writers blogging, it would be much harder for people to promote their books to other authors when they get published.
