Ever-Evolving Changes

Life is what you make of it. There are changes, ever-evolving revelations and motivations. When you come across one of those speed bumps will you stall, let your enthusiasm go stale? Or will you embrace the challenge and forge ahead - better, bolder, and bigger?

It's your choice. So CHOOSE.

With so much going on in my world right now, I need to make some choices, tough ones at that. No, I'm not leaving the blogosphere. You can't get rid of me that easily. I'll still be here until I take my summer break in July and August and I will return.

ALONE IN THE WOODS
SWIRLING MOUNTAIN
But with my oldest son's upcoming high school graduation, getting my other three kids ready for summer, and everything I do when it comes to writing and the publishing world, I've been totally swamped and feel I've neglected you. :(

CHOCOLATE!
I've yet to share my experience of teaching a middle grade writing workshop two months ago, that the school invited me back last week to speak, and the kids gave me the most awesome gifts. I've also been keeping some promising writing progress to myself, that I'm headed to Utah in June, that I've had health issues (no, I'm not dying...at least not yet), and other personal and professional events that have crossed my path recently. See what I mean about ever-evolving???

So let me simply leave you with some images to ponder over the weekend. My tiny gift to you. Use them to inspire your writing, your mind, your heart, and even your soul.

HOW HAVE YOU BEEN EVOLVING LATELY?

  3. Always. I hope you are okay. Yes, I feel the same way, so many things can bombard you and you don't know which end is up. Thanks for the inspiration. You always know what to say.
    Have a great weekend!

  4. Thanks for sharing Sheri. You're right. Life is always changing and not always in ways we want. You are so right that we have the control over the choices we make. I'll remember that when I face my next big challenge in two years when my company closes.

Hope you are feeling okay and let us know what choices you end up making.

  5. What's the saying - you've come a long way baby?
My world is evolving as well and where I'm at now, I never anticipated.
And you better not leave us!

    1. Thanks, Alex. Nope, not going anywhere. Life is just so busy, right now. And with my oldest graduating from HS in a few days, I'm in for more 'mental & emotional' changes then I thought. Plus, my story is T...H...I...S close to getting picked up. I just need to concentrate on the fam and where I want my writing to go. ;D

  9. All of those things sound very nice, except for health issues.
Having graduations is fun, though they can wear you out I've been told. And congratulations on being asking back to the writing class! I hope it goes well! But I also hope you find time to get some rest...whoever said summers were restful needs to have their heads checked.

    Best of wishes to you!

  10. Hey, I'm in Utah! When will you be here?
I'm sorry to hear about your health. Take care of yourself. And I totally feel ya on the summer/kids. I'm working on getting activities in place. It's a lot of work.

  12. I don't feel neglected, although those items you mentioned do sound interesting. But taking care of your health includes the mental piece as well, so do what you need to do to stay balanced! :)

    Have a nice weekend!

  13. Health, home, happiness. Those are the most important. My life is evolving, too.
    Happy Weekend!

  14. Oh, I hope so, Sheri. If I don't evolve I'll just grow old and stagnant. Can't have that happening. Loved your gift.

  15. Hi Sheri
I think lots if us can relate to your feeling of being overwhelmed around this time (or any time!).
Try not to worry about it. Good luck with all of the things you need to attend to. As for me, I'm signed on to Camp Nano June, and soon I'll be teaching creative writing in Greece for two weeks (blogging through it).

    1. I did have an amazing time, Dianne. Honestly, it was way more than I expected. It's astonishing to me how we see ourselves as opposed to the way others see us. These kids thought I was all that and the cat's meow. Nothing like what my four children think of me. lol ;D I will share, I promise!!
