As I mentioned last week, I have like (yes, I just used 'like.' It's Friday, and I regress back to the '80s on Fridays), a bazillion book reviews and Graffiti Promotion author, book, and/or character promos to release. So, the responsible action I should take is to release one today.
Um...yeah. Nope. Not happening.
Want to know why?
Of course you do.
I saw this movie trailer yesterday and just had to share. The moment I finished watching it I knew this story will be one our YA and even MG writing community will chat about, dissect, and study the structure, world building, and character development for some time to come.
Why is that?
Because when I began watching it, the movie looked so dang lame in that my-husband-rented-another-stupid-flick sort of way. But I kept watching, and something about the second half of the trailer intrigued me. The idea of emotions and true feelings changing a person is a great concept, universal, and what we all look to inject into our writing. Now, the real test will be in the How the material is delivered. Guess we'll see...
Anybody up for catching this flick when it's released?
That was so lame it was actually funny, verses the 'OMG I'm so not going to watch that' lame. I would probably rent it, unless it got decent ratings.
ReplyDeleteThat's how it struck me, too! Might make a fun watch with my teenagers.
DeleteUhhh, I kind of liked it. I would definitely watch this -- on Netflix. I'm not bucking up $10 to see it.
ReplyDeleteI will definitely watch this, but when it's out on DVD.
ReplyDeleteI love this trailer. It's good to see something fresh (haha) come out of this genre!
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely going to watch that. The off-kilter sense of humor shine through.
ReplyDeleteHugs and chocolate,
Shelly
That's what I'm hoping, anyway.
DeleteI started watching and stopped after a few seconds because I thought it looked lame. I better watch the whole thing. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteIt's not my usual fare, but it did look funny.
ReplyDeleteI'm not one for stupid flicks, but I thought I'd go out on a limb, here.
DeleteI saw this posted over at Paranormal Reads FB page and watched it, then found out it was a book so I have to read the book first before I can watch the movie lol!!!
ReplyDeleteI was actually thinking the same thing!
DeleteToo funny. If it worked for vampires why not zombies?
ReplyDeleteGreat point!
DeleteIf you gave me enough wine and popcorn and some fun people to sit with, I might give it a go.
ReplyDeleteHahah....That's a great idea! Wine it is.
DeleteIt sounds like fun to me, but I love zombies and all things creepy and weird! :-D
ReplyDeleteI think this is the first time I've heard of this movie. I think it could be fun to watch. :)
ReplyDeleteHaven't heard of this movie before, but sounds like fun!
ReplyDeleteHi, Sheri,
ReplyDeleteI don't think so ... Zombies are really NOT my thing. LOL.
I have to admit, I thought you were Crazy~yes with a capital C~at first. But after seeing the entire trailer. I MUST watch this movie!
ReplyDeleteJust goes to show, when done right, anything can work. Zombies dont interest me but good stories do! ;)
ReplyDeleteWell. I kind of liked it. Had me sucked right in by the end!
