The Value of GEEKdom

Letter G is next on our list. Can you believe we're almost at the halfway mark of the A to Z Challenge? Gggggggzzz..... (Sorry. I had to do it.) In keeping with my theme of What I've learned on Pinterest, each image can be found on a Pinterest board an linked to its source.

Being Mom to three teenagers and one overly-active nine-year-old boy, it's no wonder I'm part sports-fanatic, chocoholic, wine lover (not whine - Geez, Louise), and reside in my very own Geekdom. I call it Scary Sheri's Maze of the Mystic!

No, not really. I've never given my geekdom a name. That's your job. So to help you out, I'm giving you a few clues to stuff you'd there.

BEAKER ~ He's my guide.
And he's so dang cute!

But he always scares my breakfast.

I can be a tad warped at times.
And...

Aliens are always welcome.                                Attire is your choice.

The only requirement for entrance into my Geekdom is to accept the mantra...
...and you will do just fine.

Have you come up with a name for my Geekdom?

Here are my co-minions:  Jay Noel,

  12. Those are awesome! I'm a huge Beaker fan. He's one of my favorites.

Btw, those shoes look dangerous. lol

  13. I love Beaker, though I always felt a little bit bad when he would get blown up! Oh and those shoes are to die for - not that I could walk in them of course :)

  14. Lovely geekiness . . . and, yes, joining a mad group is a perfect fit for me.

  15. I remember Alf! He ate cats, right (or wanted to)?
And Beaker will always have a special place in my heart.
But truly, you don't need crazy things around to have a mad house with 4 kids!! I'm always in awe of all you do.
How about Sheri's Insanitorium (cause I like making up new words?)

  19. I love Beaker and all the Muppets. I'm on and off with Pinterest. I found it really helpful for decorating ideas when I wanted to redo my living room, but I mostly use twitter for my social media and only dabble on pinterest. It's fun though!

  21. I don't have a name for it but I love it! I'm a Beaker fan, too, but Rolf was always my favorite Muppet. And Snuffaluffagus inspired my first ever novel. And I have a 9-year-old, too. Geez, Louise, we have a lot in common!

  23. Those shoes are kind of scary, but in a good way. :) I remember Alf; he was a lot more entertaining than some of the people on reality TV today, though I admit that I do watch some of those reality shows. (I draw the line at the Kardashians and the Housewives, though.)

    1. You are dead on about reality TV today. Alf would totally rock them out of the stratosphere!

  26. Ok, this proves what I've known for a long time: I need to get savvy about Pinterest. Wanna hear something pathetic? It confuses me. There. I said it.

    1. That is not pathetic. It took me a while to find value in it. But once I did, I fell in love! It is the quickest social media fix I know of and it always inspires me, whether it be for a novel, picture book, or blog post. :)

  27. I love that bookcase.

Beaker wasn't my favorite muppet, but he was interesting.
