X, Y, Z...The End.

To rein in the last few days of the A to Z Challenge, while staying true to my "What I've learned from Pinterest" theme, here's the top ten reasons I believe Pinterest is the X-Y-Z of usefulness all in one post.

1. There is a cornecopia of themes on Pinterest.

2. You can learn valuable skills such as sign language along with application to life.

3. Humor. Haha!! There is loads of funny on Pinterest.

4. I discovered all types of ways to braid hair. Seriously. There are some very talented peeps on Pinterest.

5. There are talent artists all over the world, dabbling in their craft and posting their masterpieces in hopes of inspiring at least one individual. (I've been inspired plenty. Thank you.)

6. More people than you think love to read. There are a ton of Pinterest boards dedicated to books, literature, and reading.

7. Health & Fitness is big on P. You can find workouts to healthy recipes to lifestyle changes that will help aid longevity.

8. Kids art projects often utilize family values, diverse materials, and loads of educational stimulation for both child and parent/guardian.

9. Letters can make lovely jewelry, adding sentimental meaning to a piece.

10. Coffee is only needed on days ending in the letter Y.

Although social media can chomp time from out day, I feel that Pinterest can be a useful tool in writing and life in a short period of time.

Are you a Pinterest geek??? Why or why not?

Here are my co-minions:  Jay Noel
Melanie Schulz, and, of course, Matt MacNish!!

    1. Yeah, Twitter is a must. I don't spend loads of time on Twitter, but I do find tons of informative posts I'd otherwise miss.

  4. I just love looking at the hot guys on Pinterest (not that hubby isn't hot). I use the pictures when creating characters. I just wish I could find more pictures of females. I guess I'm not following the right boards for that.

  8. Stina - That's a great point! I found the same issue finding female images for character inspiration.

    Brandon - Aw...thx!

    Kelly - no doubt, huh?

    Matt - LOL

  9. I've dabbled with Pinterest, but never really given it much time. With your AtoZ posts you've shown me there's more reasons to hang out in the old Pinterest spot. Thanks, Sheri.

    Love it!

I've tinkered around with Pinterest, just haven't taken a truly honest moment to really enjoy it for what it's worth. But glad you've shared so much about it :-)

  11. Hey there...I'm dropping by from the blog hop (better late than never, I guess :) )

I've never dabbled in Pintrest..I'm more of a Google Plus type of guy...but you mentioned a lot of health/fitness things, which as really piqued my interest.

I might just have to check it out :)

  12. I just started into Pinterest. I LOVE what I've found so far, but it's going to be a slow thing--getting integrated. Too many other things to do. =) It's been awesome for historical research though. (Who woulda thunk?)

  13. I peeked at it a few times but haven't gotten hooked yet.

    1. It's the quickest way I've found to do research and stimulate ideas. I don't spend more than 5 or 10 minutes there, and not everyday either. Probably three times a week.

  14. Nope. Not a Pinterest geek. Although I am hearing about more guys signing up. Not for me.

  15. I do love Pinterest! While my family is conquering the next Angry Birds level, my idea of "gaming" on my iPhone/iPad is PINNING!!

I've learned awesome new recipes, home remedies and DIY beauty things like homemade eye makeup remover! I'm a huge fan!

  16. Not a pinterest geek yet, but I get sucked in every time I stop by...maybe that's why I haven't made it part of my routine.

  17. I've joined Pinterest and done some pinning, but not a geek. I'd like to get more into it.

  18. If I join Pinterest, I will be sucked in, I just know it. And then I'll have precisely 2 and 1/2 minutes per day to write after all the blogs, Tweets, and Facebook statuses...

    1. Hahaha! That was good. But honestly, it's like a quick magazine breeze-through in the doctor's office.

  19. Pinterest can literally steal my day. It's too hard to get on there and not have at least an hour disappear. And yes, yes, yes: coffee is needed on any day that ends in a y. Great post :)

  20. I'm not a Pinterest person, but I've eaten many delicious tings Pinterest people have shared and prepared.

  21. I haven't gotten into Pinterest because I didn't need one more thing taking up my time. But you made a convincing argument. I'll have to check it out. Thanks!

  23. Pinterest is awesome. Still learning how to use it more efficiently. I even ha a plan to post my A to Z posts on one of my boards, but alas I don't think I got past B. If only there were a board for cloning oneself......
